FACILITIES MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Entry level experience/qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Must have strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent IT skills and a strong knowledge of all Microsoft programs
  • Qualifications that are related to Engineering, Building Services, Surveying and  BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management) are advantageous

Responsibilities
  • Dealing with all financial details including forecasting and budgeting
  • Property acquisition
  • You are responsible for planning and managing building work
  • You will be dealing with all lease management
  • Project planning and management
  • Architectural/engineering planning and design
  • Allocating and managing space within buildings
  • Coordinating building maintenance and operational activities
  • Incorporating communications/telecommunications
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards

Objective

To plan and develop facilities and new construction for various organisations to ensure that jobs are completed within deadlines and meet regulatory guidelines. Extra objectives for a Facilities Manager are to monitor the company’s annual facilities budgets.

Skills

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of all Microsoft programs
  • A full driving license is required
  • Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work on own initiative and able to multi task

Salary/Bonus details
  • Basic salary ranges between £20 - £45k per annum depending on experience with an OTE in the region of £55 - £85k
